I'm just downloading my drives after a busy night at Kelly's Upside Down Ball. Kelly is our 7 year old friend and neighbor. She has Down syndrome and is a leukemia survivor. Kelly's mom, Robbin, is a champion. She runs Wisconsin Upside Down AND holds an annual ball in Kelly's honor. Tonight was the night.
It was a circus theme and very cool. I'm too tired to share the details, but there were a lot of happy, tired faces by the end. And here was the most important face of all....Kelly's.

Project 365 - day 54 (and friends). Venue Option 1
I'm inspired. I've decided to definitely host a charity event in March. I've been tossing the idea around in my head for about a month now but I had a real sign yesterday that set me over the edge so today I'm in full planning mode and very excited! Details will come as I iron out the details but for now you can check out some quick snaps I took at a potential venue today.
Love the colors in this area:
I have my eye on that great wall!
The fun wall behind them while they played. Love, love, love it!

Winter Wonders
Today was meant to be a lovely fall shoot. Unfortunately for three terrific little boys it felt more like winter than fall! They were great and braved the cold weather though and they looked just adorable. Thanks for being such great troopers, guys.....and Mom and Dad, too!
BTW, I think maybe this family is hoping to be seen on future Illustrations Photography marketing materials....they're wearing my colors! Good thinking, Amy...that just might work.

Boys Will Be Boys
I first met my friend Amy when our oldest boys (Corey and Sam...both starting 1st grade tomorrow) were still babies and our kids have grown up having playdates together. Even though we don't get together as often as we'd like anymore, the kids always have a great time and the boys quickly pulled out their (stick) light sabers and started their Star Wars battles. So, it was a lot for me to ask poor Sam and Lincoln to come away from the entertainment to spend time with boring 'ol me but they were great sports and I tried to make it as fun as possible. I'm no Corey, but I did my best and they humored me. :-)
I just had a look and I got a lot of cute shots of each of the boys and even of the two of them together so I'm really pleased! Hope you like them too, Amy...these first black and white ones are for you:

And, just for fun, these ones are for Sam and Lincoln! Thanks guys!
