Claire Jane

My good friend Kelly has a daughter named Claire. I also have a daughter named Clare so you can imagine the confusion when the 4 of us ~ Kelly, Kelly, Claire and Clare ~ get together for lunch and a playdate! Regardless, we always have a nice time and I really treasure those visits. Today, I took Claire Jane outside after lunch for a few photos. We had a lot of fun dancing, making faces, and picking tomatoes. Oh, and of course taking photos. I should mention that Kelly is quite the fashionista and luckily forgives me for being her polar opposite. As you can see from Claire, she's well on her way to following in moms shoes or, more likely, in her boots.

Of Course She's Tidy!

Last week I was able to photograph a friend of mine, Paula. She is expecting her third child in November and has the tidiest little basketball bump ever! Which is just what I would expect from Paula since she is a professional organizer. :-) It was pretty intimidating having her come into my disorganized space but I really enjoyed photographing her and big brother and big sister! Thanks so much, Paula! I can't wait to meet and photograph your little guy/gal soon...

Baby Somebody = Baby Drew

Last night I had an incredible opportunity to shoot Baby Drew (previously known as "Baby Somebody" by his awaiting family. Drew was about 27 hours old when I met him and it was a real privilege to be among the first people to meet this gorgeous little guy! I photographed Mom and big sister several weeks ago and been really looking forward to his arrival.

Mom was already doing great...a seasoned pro, obviously! I, on the other hand, stumbled around a bit trying to figure out the best way to set up a studio in a hospital room. And dear Drew could think of quite a few things he would rather have been doing than watching my light flash at him so we modified our plan a bit and settled for just a few shots with the hope of a follow-up once Mom and Drew are happily back at home.

I did manage some cute ones though...how can you not with such a gorgeous subject!?! Enjoy, Jenny....I'll have the rest for you soon.
